Self-care is the buzz word these days, and for good reasons. Life comes at us from every angle, and with social media seems to never let up. Those of us who find it hard to disconnect from technology and reconnect to nature, are often at a loss. Being a Reiki practitioner gives me a tool for self-care that I can tap into anywhere at anytime. It has been a true gift. But what about those who don’t have that tool in their box?
While taking an Earth Medicine School course with Pixie Lighthorse recently, the subject of using White Sage came up. I have to admit, I instantly thought about Palo Santo as that is my go to for purification. I almost just as instantly felt guilt.
Clearing or cleansing your stone involves what I think of as resetting them. The purpose of this is to return it to its natural state. I don't believe that stones get energetically "dirty" but they can get a bit clogged if exposed to strong negative energies or trauma, and left too long without a clearing.
When I get to the point of wanting to hurl eggs at the cars honking outside my windows, I know it's time to get out of the city and into the woods. Walking, hiking, or just sitting in the forest has a restorative effect like little else (except maybe the beach.) There's a calmness and peace that seems to penetrate through to the bone.

How a stone is determined to be suited to a particular zodiac sign is really up to the person making that determination. You can search the internet and find as many different stones for your sign as there are signs.
